OUR STORY

Founder and Executive Director, Jane DaCosta, established the Metropolitan Equestrian (MET), a 501(c)(3) non profit organization established in 2010. As someone who grew up participating in equestrian sports, Jane has ample experience in stable management in New York City, Florida, and Virginia, where she managed staff, grounds, clientele and horse care. Additionally, Jane has trained horses and riders at all ages, levels and abilities for over 30 years.  Her passion is not only horsemanship and athleticism, but is also instilling leadership skills, the value of teamwork, and responsibility in MET participants. She has dedicated her life to ensuring access to any person wanting to achieve these goals through equestrian sports.
